This was the second Damilola Taylor murder trial in which two brothers aged 18 and 19 were convicted of manslaughter. They were found guilty at a retrial at the Old Bailey after an earlier jury could not reach a verdict.
In November 2000 Damilola who was aged 10 bled to death after being cut with a broken bottle in the thigh on a stairwell of a North Peckham estate in south London. The inquiry into his death has led to three trials and cost £16m.
